InterBioScreen Ltd., Scientific Partnership Foundation, National Academies of Sciences of CIS countries, and Russian Academy of Sciences are planning to continue international meetings of the Russian and CIS researchers active in the field of the chemistry and biological activity of synthetic and natural heterocyclic compounds.
II International Conference
on the Chemistry and Biological Activity
of Oxygen- and Sulfur-Containing Heterocycles
will be held
on October 14-17, 2003 in Moscow.
Venue
The venue is the Russian State Academy of Civil Service
under the President of the Russian Federation (Prospekt Vernadskogo 84, Moscow,
Russia)

The Proceedings
The proceedings of the Conference will appear as a separate volume under the title
Oxygen- and Sulfur-Containing Heterocycles
in our series Chemistry of Biologically Active Synthetic and Natural Compounds
(also available on CD-ROM).
In selection of materials, preference will be given to the latest data on the chemistry
of coumarins, flavonoids, oxirans, thierans, furans, thiophenes, oxazoles, oxazines,
thiazoles, thiazines, oxazepines, thiozepins, related annelated systems, analogs
and derivatives, as well as to related natural compounds.
The Proceedings will be published in Russian and English, the latter one for distribution
overseas (in the form of hard and soft copies).
We are also planning to issue vol. 2 of our series Selected
Methods for Synthesis and Modification of Heterocycles (IBS Press,
Moscow, 2003) to the opening of the Conference. This volume will contain reviews
on current trends in the chemistry of O- and S-containing heterocycles, including
the full text of some plenary lectures and oral presentations.
The honorary members of the Editorial board of the series "Selected
methods for synthesis and modification of heterocycles" and the
proceedings of the Conference Oxygen- and Sulfur-Containing Heterocycles
in our series Chemistry of Biologically Active Synthetic and Natural Compounds
are:
